Step 12: DON’T FORGET THE BIG PICTURE

Take time to enjoy the planning experience. “Have fun with it!”  And most importantly, remember that “your wedding is only the first day of the rest of your life.”  Keep that in mind during the planning.  And keep a sense of humor!

STEP 11: PLAN OUT YOUR BEAUTY REGIMEN

Start taking care of your skin and body approximately two months before your wedding day.  We suggest weekly massages to keep the stress levels down, especially during the final weeks leading up to your wedding.

In addition, at least two weeks before the big day, book a pre-wedding hair and makeup appointment for a trial run of your wedding-day look.  And be certain to book your manicure and pedicure for the day before your event.

STEP 10: PUT TOGETHER YOUR SEATING CHART

If you plan to direct guests to their tables for dinner at your wedding,  decide if you want to have assigned seating or just assigned tables.  There is a big difference in the amount of time and effort that goes into your seating chart, depending on which one you choose.

We suggest starting work on a seating chart once you have about 75 to 80 percent of your RSVP’s back.  That way you don’t have to keep re-doing it as you receive more.  Keep it simple!  Create a chart: How many tables d0 you have?  How many seats at each table? Remembering these two numbers will keep you from overthinking the seating chart.
