STEP 8: ALLOW ADEQUATE TIME FOR YOUR DRESS TO ARRIVE
Whether you pick your perfect gown as soon as you get engaged, or wait a bit, deliberating over dresses over the course of several months, make sure you allow plenty of time to get your gown in perfect shape. Most gowns will require some kind of alteration, whether its simply raising a hem, or totally resizing a bodice. Also, do not forget to budget for the alterations.
You want to be comfortable, to have a dress that’s easy to move around in is important! Remember, it can take five or six months for a wedding dress to arrive once it’s ordered, and another four to eight weeks for alterations to be completed. That’s a lot of time . Don’t put yourself into panic mode by leaving your gown purchase until a couple of months before the big day.
